14. The sound of change

~ Written by Danielle N. Bilski ~

The sound of change

Whisper
Ever so softly
Just loud enough
To hear.

Words
That could change
How everything
May appear.

Wonder
Lingers as I wait
For meaning
To become clear.

Why
Must it happen
Before I conquer
My biggest fear.

When
I try to
Wipe away
A tear.

Will
You let me
Hide
For a moment here.

Wishing
Time could
Over-ride
Those unforgiving years.

Well
All I can do
Is hope
For music to fill my ears. © 2010 Danielle N. Bilski

13. What Was, Is & Will be

~ Written by Danielle N. Bilski ~

2010. A year of new possibilities. As I stand with my fellow citizens on the edge of this; January 2010, about to embark on February 1st I find myself wondering where the last four weeks have gone while I turned my back for what felt like only four days.

In December last year I started a new full time job and I still have as much enthusiasm as I did on my very first day – it is wonderful! The only aspect that I only now have time to ponder is how quickly the days float by seemingly “in the blink of any eye” as the cliche goes. I am so grateful for the opportunity I have been given and would not change a thing. What I am needing to do however is discipline myself to make the most of the time I am given to be creative and do the things I most want to do. Life is not about compromising what you love and what you hold most dear to you for the mere necessities of living. The secret is to find the balance and to know yourself well enough to trust what your doing is right.

I have not for one moment lost sight of my vision in this project and I have not forgotten about my time with you as it has remained a vital element of my daily life, although the words have been waiting patiently for their moment to speak.

A little while ago I wrote a note to remind myself that reads:
“Minimise distractions, but recognise good distractions. Always make time for the important people and things in your life. Work and success should not compromise what you value most.”

While the ideas for My time with you continue to unravel, life continues to go on, days continue to float by and I continue to smile. Why? Because I know that when the time is right, I can always come back to my time with you. I hope you find comfort in that too.

Bring on February and every thing it has to offer.

See you soon. I look forward to it!

12. Metaphor me

~ Written by Danielle N. Bilski ~

Grain of sand; seemingly tiny and insignificant on a beach yesterday, carried out by the tide into the depths of the ocean this morning. Now in the company of colourful creatures in the depths of the sea. Today the world looks different than it will tomorrow; the important thing to remember is possibilities are endless and make the most of where the universe takes you, wherever that may be. Be grateful. © 2010 Danielle N. Bilski
